It’s time for our FINAL adventure run of the season. And, we’re going BIG for this one.

We have a ‘short’ route which is a 5ish mile out/back route. For those going long, you’re heading all the way to Sausalito (nearly 11 miles) & returning the via Sausalito Ferry!

FYI, there are ferries departing Sausalito for the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero on Saturday at 11:30, 1:25, 3:10, 5:00, & 6:55PM.

Whether you’re running short or long, we’re getting things started at Devil’s Teeth Baking Company (corner of Sacramento/Front St). There are parking lots at the Embarcadero and paid street parking near Devil’s Teeth if you’re driving.

Adventure Run 5M/11M mile route

And, here’s a description for the route….

• We’ll head down Sacramento Street to the Embarcadero and turn LEFT (.25 miles). Cross the pedestrian crosswalk prior to Washington to get onto the NORTH side of the Embarcadero.
• Head left (WEST) on the Embarcadero towards Fisherman’s Wharf. Continue running through Fisherman’s Wharf and through Aquatic Park. At the end of Aquatic Park (2.5 miles), those going short will turnaround and head back to Devil’s Teeth for 5 MILES!
• Those going LONG will ascend and descend the other side and veer RIGHT towards the Marina (3.05 miles).
• Continue along the Marina and connect with Mason Blvd (3.98 miles)
• Continue on Mason Street until just past Sports Basement. Take a sharp RIGHT and cut across Crissy Field to connect with Golden Gate Promenade (4.7 miles).
• Take a sharp LEFT just past the Warming Hut and head up Long Avenue. FYI, there are water fountains and restrooms at the Warming Hut (5.44 miles).
• At the top of Long Avenue turn RIGHT and follow the pedestrian path towards the Golden Gate Bridge (5.68 miles).
• Just before going underneath the bridge, turn LEFT and follow the switchbacks onto the pedestrian side of the bridge (6.11 miles).
• Continue towards the North end of the bridge. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! THERE ARE TYPICALLY A REASONABLE NUMBER OF TOURISTS WHO AREN’T PAYING ATTENTION. BE SMART AND BE POLITE IF YOU NEED TO GET AROUND SOMEONE.
• Continue to the end of the bridge to the Visitor Center. This is 8 MILES. There are portapotties at the Visitor Center and there should be water fountains available.
• Run underneath the bridge. There’s a funky little paved path that goes underneath the bridge and ends in a parking lot. You’ll head to the end of the parking lot and veer LEFT/DOWNHILL. At the bottom of this descent, you’ll continue running and merge with Moore Road (8.58 miles)
• Follow Moore Road to Center Road and veer RIGHT (8.87 miles)
• Follow Center Road to East Road and continue running past the Bay Area Discovery Museum (9 miles)
• Follow East Road to Alexander Ave and continue running on Alexander Ave into Sausalito (9.91 miles)
• Alexander briefly turns into South Street before running into Second Street. Turn RIGHT onto Second Street (10.19 miles).
• Follow Second Street to Richardson and turn RIGHT onto Richardson (10.37 miles). Richardson turns into Bridgeway.
• Continue running on Bridgeway until you reach Anchor Street. Turn RIGHT at Anchor Street and head into Gabrielson Park (10.91 miles).
• Follow Anchor Street into Gabrielson Park for 10.99 miles! There are water fountains and restrooms available for you to change if desired. The Sausalito Ferry Terminal is a short walk from the park!

FYI, there are ferries departing Sausalito for the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero on Saturday at 11:30, 1:25, 3:10, 5:00, & 6:55PM. Make sure you bring cash/cards to pay for the Ferry trip back to SF!

You can collect personal items from Devil’s Teeth Baking Company (corner of Sacramento/Front St) in SF when you’re wrapped!
