Congrats to everyone who raced this weekend, from 5Ks in the city to PR marathons in wine country.
This week’s Wildcard is our first strength focused workout of the spring season. Time to start adding some climbing back into the mix!
For those new to Run Club SF, we want you to know we support runners of all abilities and experience levels at our Tuesday runs. For some of you this will be a familiar workout. For others, this may be your first time running San Francisco hills. Just know you can run, jog, or mix in walking as needed. These runs are also always better with a team, and our coaches and captains are there to help guide you along the way. I’ll talk through effort and how to approach the run before we start.
Meetup
Tuesday 6:30 PM at 7th Ave & MLK Jr Drive (Golden Gate Park)
A reminder, reflective gear and headlamps are still needed for this one but daylight savings kicks in this weekend so next Tuesday we’ll have about an extra hour of daylight.
Warm-Up
5 min group jog + dynamic stretches
Workout
3.75 mile hill workout

Why we do these kinds of workouts?
Build leg strength and power
Strengthen glutes, calves, and hips (which helps reduce injuries)
Improve climbing and descending skill and confidence
Boost cardiovascular fitness (hill work is speed work in disguise)
Post Run Social – join us!
See you Tuesday. Thanks in advance for showing up – for yourselves and for each other. 💪
