Coach Toby is stepping in to lead the charge this Thursday!

From Coach Toby….

Hills are speedwork in disguise. They train the same systems as track intervals, just with terrain instead of a stopwatch.
Uphills build strength and power in your legs while driving your heart rate into interval zones. Downhills train quick turnover and coordination.
You’re working on speed, efficiency, and aerobic capacity all in one session.
We’ll warm up at Kezar Stadium then jog together to the start at Hillway Ave and Carl.

Optional 4th loop if feeling strong

The Loop:

Start at Hillway Ave and Carl
Run up Hillway
Left on Parnassus
Left on Willard and run down
Left on Carl
Back to Hillway and Carl
Reverse it
East on Carl
Right on Willard and run up
Right on Parnassus
Right on Hillway and run down

Effort:

Uphills — strong, steady
Downhills — quick, controlled

Cool Down

Easy run back to Kezar Stadium
