This Tuesday we’re heading back to the hills for Stanyan Street repeats, a longtime Wildcard favorite and a great way to quickly build strength and fitness!
Meetup:
Tuesday 6:30 PM at 7th Ave & MLK Jr Drive (Golden Gate Park)
Warm-Up:
Easy group jog to the Panhandle (~1 mile) + dynamic stretches
Workout:
3-4 repeats: New to hills? Start here. Make it a steady, easy effort. Short quick steps uphill, light jog down
5-6 repeats: Comfortable with climbs? Push the ups and stay use the descents to recover.
7 repeats: Feeling strong? Build through the reps and finish with your best efforts.
Quick Hill Repeat Tips:
Tall posture: Light core engagement goes a long way
Arms: Drive to keep your cadence and momentum
Uphill: Short strides, quick feet
Downhill: Relax and avoid overstriding
