San Francisco is (arguably) the most beautiful city for running on the planet. There are countless beautiful paths, trails, and roads to explore. Similarly, there are staggeringly amazing and inspiring views one can take in whilst logging a few miles.
Our ‘launch route’ for fall season will give you a little ‘taste’ of what lies ahead. Consider it an ‘orientation’ run. Click the link below for a look at the Strava course map…
Fall Season Launch Route (3ish miles)
Here’s a little course description for you as well….
- Launch from outside of the Walt Disney Family Museum and head towards Lincoln. Turn LEFT onto Lincoln and continue running on the pedestrian path (.06 M)
- Veer RIGHT and follow the path towards McDowell Ave (.30 M)
- Turn RIGHT on McDowell and descend towards Old Mason Street (.64 miles)
- Cross Old Mason Street and turn LEFT towards Hopper Hands (.78 miles)
- At Hopper Hands/the base of the bridge, turn around head back towards the Warming Hut (1.57 miles).
- Run past the Warming Hut and veer LEFT onto the Golden Gate Promenade (2.14 miles).
- Veer RIGHT when you see Course Marshal Matt and head towards Old Mason Street (2.59 miles).
- Turn LEFT at Old Mason Street and continue running on the pedestrian path (2.71 miles).
- Turn RIGHT at Halleck and head back into the Presidio (3.03 miles).
- Turn RIGHT at Lincoln and head towards the Walt Disney Family Museum (3.26 miles)
- Turn LEFT at Montgomery St and finish at Walt Disney (3.44 miles)!
