Start/Finish: 7th and MLK Jr Drive, GG Park (6:30pm meet-up)
This week we’re climbing. Not forever. Just enough to remind your legs (and brain!) what they can do.
I have two options for you:
Trail Mash-Up (Sutro Forest)
4 miles | 500+ ft of climbing
One of my favorite SF escapes. Shady, soft, and quiet once you’re in it. We’ll climb steadily up Clarendon before disappearing into the trees. We’ll then loop the upper trails and cruise back down. It’s stout but totally doable. Trail shoes are recommended but not required. Remember to pick up your feet! Tree roots don’t care how good your stride is.

Pure Pavement (Clarendon St)
3 miles | 300+ ft of climbing
Short and to the point. A steady climb up Clarendon, then a smooth downhill glide the way you came back to the park. Honest hill work!

You don’t have to love hills. You just have to meet them. One thing I’ve learned, and I know many of you have too: hills don’t just build strength – they build resilience. You earn it on the climb. You carry it with you everywhere. So slow things down out there. Focus on effort, not pace, and walk when you need to.
Post-run social at Underdog Tres (1224 9th Ave). 🌮 Tacos always taste better after a climb!
See you Tuesday.
