Coach Toby Silver has been curating Run Club’s wildcard runs since their inception, and this summer he’s excited to let you in on some new and personal city adventures. We’ll be mixing up locations all summer long! This week is a preview of what lies ahead.
“Fifty Shades of Pavement” is Toby’s side project, an ambitious endeavor he began in 2017 to run and explore every street in San Francisco. On each run he has stumbled onto something special, and as his running landscape shifted, so has his perspective on training, community, and life.
Covered in murals and street art, today’s run takes you through some of the Mission District’s less traveled streets and alley ways. After a relatively flat (for San Francisco) two and a half miles in the Mission, you’ll tackle a challenging climb in Noe Valley on your way back to the start.
Feel free to start this route anywhere along the way. Jump on, jump off, enjoy the art, and share your run on Instagram, Facebook and Strava.
