From Coach Toby…..
We’ve got some hills this week! Meet at Hometown Creamery for a 3.75-mile loop around Mount Sutro with nearly 500 feet of climbing. We’ll be running mostly on sidewalks, not trails.
Housekeeping:
You’re welcome to leave personal belongings at Hometown Creamery during the run.
Bring your headlamp and hang out afterward for a scoop!

Workout: We’ll have a mile to warm up, a mile of sustained uphill, then it’s mostly downhill back to ice cream.
Keep your effort steady on the climb and let your pace naturally slow down. Running uphill takes more effort so don’t try to hold the same pace you would on flatter ground. Take shorter steps and try to find a rhythm you can maintain all the way to the top of Clarendon.
If you want to open it up a little on the downhill, go for it! Clarendon is a fun stretch to work on your downhill running. Just stay in control, keep your eyes ahead, and watch for uneven sidewalk.
Have a great run everyone!
