From Coach Toby…….
Nice job on last week’s climbs. Hope the views were worth the effort! This Tuesday we’re dialing it back with a fun and mostly flat 4 mile route that starts and ends at San Francisco’s Hometown Creamery (1290 9th Ave @ Irving). We’ll head into Golden Gate Park, out along the Panhandle, and loop back through the Haight on Page Street, one of the city’s Slow Streets.
The best part? Depends on who you ask. Some folks come for the miles, some come for the scoops and waffle cones. No judgment either way.
Meet-up time & location: Tue 6:30pm, 1290 9th Avenue (at Irving St) @ San Francisco Hometown Creamery. You can leave personal belongings at the shop during the run.
Optional Push: Panhandle Pickup
If you’re feeling spicy use the Panhandle stretch from Stanyan & Oak → Baker & Oak (~0.75 mi) for a controlled pickup: start with a smooth acceleration, then focus on a strong, sustainable effort, and finally return to an easy conversational pace to recover as you near Baker.

Finish & post-run social: At SF Hometown Creamery. Running warms you up. Ice cream cools you back down!
Winter running is always easier with teammates. Thanks for showing up and supporting one another.
See you Tuesday,
Toby
