From Coach Toby……….
Nice job on last week’s hill workout – solid prep for our Twin Peaks run next week! This Tuesday we’re dialing it back with a fun and mostly flat 4 mile route that starts and ends at San Francisco’s Hometown Creamery (1290 9th Ave @ Irving).
We’ll head into Golden Gate Park, out along the Panhandle, and loop back through the Haight on Page Street, one of the city’s Slow Streets.
The best part? Depends who you ask. Some say the ice cream. Some say the flat run. Others say the park miles with good people. 🙂
Meet-up time & location: Tue 6:30pm, 1290 9th Avenue (at Irving St) – San Francisco Hometown Creamery
Optional Push: Panhandle Pickup
Want to mix in a little speed and strength work? Use the Panhandle segment from Stanyan & Oak to Baker & Oak (~0.75 mi) to pick up the pace. Settle into a strong & sustainable effort (comfortably hard but a pace you can maintain for 3/4 mile), then back off and recover, and resume your regular pace.

Finish & post-run social: Also at SF Hometown Creamery — it’s warming up in the city this week… perfect for ice cream!
Housekeeping: It’s okay to leave personal belonging at the shop during the run, just no valuable please.
Thanks for showing up each week, for yourself and for your teammates. See you there! ~ Toby
