Speed is great. But, without balance and strength, there’s only so far (and fast) you can go.
With this in mind, we’ve got a fun ‘speed’ infused bootcamp session! I’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing a towel or mat for this one as some of our drills will take place on the ground.
Here’s the thrust of what we’ve got lined up for you….
-Jog a few easy laps followed by our range of motion drills.
-Segue into FARTLEK! You’ll run just under 1/10th of a mile easy, followed by 1/10th of a mile HARD. Then, you’ll run another 1/10th of a mile easy, and finish with 1/10th of a mile HARD. Here’s a link to the ‘course’ we’re using for the run.
-Then, we’ll segue into some drills. We’ll typically do ‘4’ drills per circuit. The drills will vary for each circuit. But, you can expect planks, lunges, squats, pushups, and a variety of other drills.
-We’ll aim to get ‘5’ circuits done.
-Then, we’ll segue into cross-training with Coach Elena for 10-15 mins.
-Rounding things out, we’ll segue into happy hour at Colibri (50 Moraga Ave)! 🙂
