This week’s wildcard run will complement our back-to-back scheduled Saturday long runs (last weekend and this weekend). The goals here are to run at an easy conversational pace – and to enjoy this beautiful GG Park loop with your Run Club mates!
Going light is right! Easy days are essential for any race distance prep be it a 5K or 50 miler. Toby will share more about the benefits and importance of incorporating these types of workouts into your training. Click the link below for the Easy Day 5K Course Map.
Although this is a well-known counter clock-wise loop around the park, you may wish to bring the directions or map with you.
Directions:
- Exit the stadium’s west entrance, cross Kezar Drive at the light and head into Golden Gate Park onto MLK Jr Drive.
- Right onto Bowling Green
- Stay right to merge onto Nancy Pelosi Drive.
- At JFK and Nancy Pelosi, cross over JFK and turn left.
- Continue on JFK to
- Transverse Drive intersection.
- Left at Transverse. Transverse will take you to back over to MLK Jr Drive.
- At MLK Jr Drive, turn left, cross 19th Ave and return to start
